Animaniacs Code v2.2 Copyright 1996 Jonathan Woodward, wood...@ftp.com. See disclaimer below. Distribute freely. --------------------------------------------------- Are you an Animaniacs fan? Well, tell the world! Presented herein is the Animaniacs Code. Simply add this convenient code to your sig file, and all the net will know the truth of your love for the Warners and their wacky friends. At cons, add it to your badge! Tattoo it on your forehead! A million uses! The Animaniacs Code is a simple, powerful, and, hopefully, _silly_ tool for fan communication. =====Revision History 1.1 to 2.0: In addition to a variety of new codes and modifiers, the version indicator has been simplified, the "I" modifier has been changed to "i", some character codes have been changed to conform to the new, expanded system, the implementation of the "D" code has been amplified, the "OT" code has been obseleted, and extra spiffiness has been added. 2.0 to 2.1: More "body-part" modifiers have been added to the Characters section, and a few new characters have been added. The "P" code has been expanded to allow better differentiation. New "D" sub-codes have been added. The "ownership" codes have been added to "$". The "IV", "Pon", and "X" codes are new to this version. The "h" sub-modifer to the "E" code, and the "H" code are new. The "E" code may also now be used to indicate favorite shorts. The gender codes now fit the design philosophy better. There have also been some minor formatting and "humor"-oriented changes. 2.1 to 2.2: Several new characters have been added, as has the "r" modifier. An IRC code has been added and the "D", "$", and "V" codes have had their modifiers changed slightly. The "Pon" and "X" codes have been updated to include the new season. The "h" modifier is no longer allowed for the "E" code, to avoid confusion where the new hour-long episodes are involved. =====Format To distinguish our code from other, lesser codes, the code is always preceded by the identifier "A!", and the version indicator "JW22". These are _not_ optional! Follow this with codes from the categories below. You do not have to include every code; only those you think significant. In cases where degrees are indicated, feel free to expand the code in either direction as you see fit. The use of more than ten "+"s or "-"s, however, is regarded as extreme hyperbole, and is a sign one should not be taken seriously. Whitespace between the codes is recommended but not required; "YK++ WK++" and "YK++WK++" are equally acceptable. (All codes begin with capital letters (except "$"), and none _have_ to end with one, so this doesn't affect content.) Case is important! As yet there is little possibility of confusion if you use "dt++" instead of the correct "DT++", but we are attempting to maintain forward compatibility. =====Modifiers The following modifiers may be applied to the codes. Most of them indicate a degree of indecision. / Used when two different values apply. For example, "MM---^/++!". > Indicates a range of feelings. "RI->++" ~ Indicates waffling and indecision. "MI~" ? Used to denote true bafflement. "CB?" {} Use curly brackets around a rating you hope to attain. "P0{++}" [] Use square brackets around a rating that once applied. "Dp[s]" =====Characters We Love You are not obliged to include a code for _every_ character; just the ones you want us to know about. For characters in groups, there is one code for the group (three letters long), and codes for the individual characters as well (two letters). Use of _both_ ("P&B++ PI+++ BR+") is not recommended, but it's your choice. The ratings are as follows: XX--- I throw anvils at the TV when this character is on. XX-- I turn off the TV when this character is on. XX- I'd rather this character wasn't on so often. XX or XX0 No feelings; ho-hum. XX+ I'm fond of this character. XX++ I love this character! XX+++ I have written mash notes to this character; I have a tattoo. You may modify this rating by appending one of the following: i I see elements of myself in the character. r This character is my role-model. ! I feel this way about the character's body. ^ " " " " " " " mind. " " " " " " " " ears. ' " " " " " " " tail. : " " " " " " " eyes. Examples: "SL-!/+++^" means, "Slappy's kind of dumpy, but the way she thinks makes me weak in the knees." The codes are: ALL All the characters WAR The Warners YK Yakko WK Wakko DT Dot P&B Pinky and the Brain PI Pinky BR The Brain S&S Slappy and Skippy Squirrel SL Slappy SK Skippy SRG Slappy's Rogues Gallery WW Walter Wolf SS Sid The Squid BB Beanie The Brain-Dead Bison R&R Rita and Runt RI Rita RU Runt GDF The Goodfeathers BO Bobby PS Pesto SQ Squit GP The Godpigeon GLF The Girlfeathers SA Sasha KI Kiki LA Lana B&M Buttons and Mindy BU Buttons MI Mindy LD Lady MR Mister Man HIP The Hip Hippos MA Marita FL Flavio TIK The Tickbirds GE Geena Embryo (And Geena was her name-o!) Animaniacs Fan Purity Test Score (T) Most recent version, please. You may list either your raw score or your ranking. For example, "T160" or "TPinky". If you wish to use both, use the "/" modifier. Normal mixed case is recommended for ranking-type codes. =====Favorites Favorite Episode (E) Indicated with an E and the episode number. For example, "E65" or "EH3" for an hour-long episode. To indicate a favorite _short_ use "a", "b", "c", et cetera, where the letter represents the short's position in the episode (only shorts with title-cards count).
