BikeCode
a.k.a. Bike Code

BikeCode is for cycling enthuiasts. The author, Tibs, created it partially in reference to an article by David Martin entitled “The Theory of BIG” or “How to claim your space on the road”.
Though BikeCode 0.1 wasn’t archived, we can get the date of the first version (June 12, 1999) from the announcement post from the HPV (human powered vehicle) mailing list.
The code is extremely detailed, including some compulsory sections per bicycle or trailer.
A second partial
BikeCode
was proposed on rec.bicycles.tech
in 2003 that does not appear related.
