F1 Code is an Italian-language code for fans of Formula One racing. From a machine translation of the introductory post:

Those who follow the mailing list already know what I’m about to talk about. It’s called F1-Code and is nothing more than one of those geek codes you see in other newsgroups.

Basically, the F1 Code is a short string of characters that should be included in the signature. The signature serves to provide some information about the post’s preferences, as well as their background and expertise, as far as F1 is concerned.

Unfortunately, the spec was not archived, so the code cannot currently be read.
