The Ordo Templi Paisleianum (“Order of the Paisley Temple, or Paisley Templars”) is a quasi-fraternal comedy-centric group from the early internet.
The page Too Many Codes! describes the group’s history and inspiration from the Ordo Templi Orientis:
The O.T.P. stands for Ordo Templi Paisleianum. (The Order of the Paisley Temple) Modelled after the O.T.O. it is an order for magicians who utilyze humour. Founded by the Grand I.R.S. Frater Resurgam ‘XI. Their orders highest law is Laugh when thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law. It is believed that this religious order may be bankrolling the Rho Mu Phi comic fraternity.
