“The PokeCode (a classification system for PokeMon fans)” is exactly that: a code for fans of the Japanese video game and media franchise Pokémon, particularly in the newsgroup alt.games.nintendo.pokemon.

Though it came after the Pokémon Fan Code, it is unrelated to it, and is instead very closely related to Moonie Code:

It was originally inspired by (and uses some customized portions of) the Moonie code.

The author seemed unaware of those previous attempts, and another user on alt.games.nintendo.pokemon alluded to them only as “There were two tries previously posted to AGNP, both by AOLers, though I can’t remember who at the moment.”
