Pokémon Fan Code
a.k.a. PokéFanCode

The Pokémon Fan Code is intended for fans of the Japanese video game and media
franchise Pokémon, particularly
in the newsgroup alt.games.nintendo.pokemon
.
In the code’s debut, author Sarii13 describes the code as “Inspired by the Space Ghost Geek Code”. However, the specification for this fan code does not seem to be posted, and reported code page http://members.aol.com/Sarii13/Fancode.html was never indexed on archive.org.
A successor code, “Neo’s Pokefan Code”, was linked by author Darth Neo in August 1999. It seems to be an extension or expansion of the Pokémon Fan Code but does not have any details or archived specifications available.
The following year, the unrelated PokeCode was introduced, which
also describes the user’s relationship with Pokémon in primary use on
alt.games.nintendo.pokemon
.
